This is a OEM type coil, and is intended to be used with the original points type system ignition. Online Power Products highly recommends that you remove the points system from the distributor and upgrade to the electronic system, please see part number #40 2505160 to accomplish this upgrade tuneup. This item will be number 9 in the Hercules drawing.
